Star Player gets the Star Treatment

I had a chance to shoot a Sports Package for a client recently. Now, when I say “client,” I have to preface it with the fact that I have known this family for many years through our kids, and as a friend, I felt a bit more pressure to deliver. But they gave me the info I needed, and I was off to Minnetonka for the away Varsity game.

Shooting one player is easier than having to shoot the entire game. The focus is on that one player and that one player alone. With that simplicity comes the challenge of not being overbearing and to sort of be invisible while in full view. That means, I try and position myself behind things or shoot through players, use longer lenses or occasionally forget all that and just be right there. Channing, for his part was amazing. And together we delivered 119 really amazing images that they’ll all have for a lifetime. And one BAD-ASS social profile shot.

Check out the gallery below to get a sense of what you can expect in a Sports Package of your own. (Shot 600+ frames. Delivered 119 hi-res photos)
