Good stuff in. Good stuff out.

You may not recognize Russell Stanton, but chances are if you’ve been through the Agriculture Building during the MN State Fair, you’ve seen the fruits of his labor. Pun intended. Russell has brought home numerous blue ribbons for his gigantic squash and heirloom-type tomatoes. And besides the basics of sun and water, his first insider tip is to use really good soil, which begins with high quality compost. Not just any compost, he starts every seed with our very own, City of Edina compost!!

Yes, you got that right, he uses bags and bags of rich, dark compost as the basis for his garden. So next season, go out and get yourself a few bags of our award-winning compost and clear your mantle for the scads of ribbons in your future.
