Sr. Photo Surprise

There’s nothing better than over-delivering for a client. And in the case of this typical incoming Senior, a photo shoot doesn’t rank high on his “what I did this summer” list. As expected, Charlie started the process a bit disconnected, but by the time we wrapped, he left excited to see how the shots turned out. That’s about as big an endorsement as I could wish for.

Now, truth-be-told, I have known Charlie for about 7 years. He and my son were on a lacrosse team together and his dad and I were parent coaches. And if you know anything about me, when I’m involved with a team, I will be taking photos of you. Lots of photos. So Charlie was used to me getting up in his face with my camera already.

I told Charlie that I would be covering the typical shots of him in a field of sunflowers and the age-old, laying on a blanket with his head resting on his hands. He didn’t laugh. So instead I chose locations that fit his personality with low foot traffic. Mostly. But he was GREAT! He came with some clothing options and an open attitude. He listened and I shared our progress all along the way, which made him feel at ease. And before I forget, a HUGE thank you to Charlie’s mom, Julie, who was my assistant and reflector card holder “extraordinaire”. So any photos I say, “I took” should henceforth be revised to “we took.”

Below are some selects from our session. If you like them, let’s connect and book your own session. You will be pleasantly surprised! - Thanks.
