August. Hotter than you remember.
Living in Minnesota, August brings the hottest weather of the year. And this weeks shoot proves that August also supplies the hottest photos, even for a July evening.
This week I got to shoot a friend I’ve known for over 12 years, August Golfis. He’s a funny kid, a loyal friend and well, just nice overall. I guess I haven’t seen August in a while, because this is a whole different young man. Sure, he’s still got all the same, good qualities as before, but now he’s got the “Sizzle” to top it off. He’s lean, fit and has an inner confidence that shows itself through his eyes and body language.
On our initial call, we determined that he didn’t want the “typical” senior photo so I told him about a great spot I found under an overpass and it was a go. He told me that he was determined not to smile. But as soon as I coaxed a couple small grins out of him the flood gates opened, and I spent the rest of the time trying to get him to tone it back.
